कशामुळे हा अल्ट्राबुक एवढा फास्ट काम करू शकतो? इंटेलच्या "सॅंडी-ब्रीज प्रोसेसर' (कोअर ळ3 पासून ळ7) आणि यूएसबी 3.0 पोर्टची कमाल आहे. अन्य कॉम्प्युटरचे प्रोसेसर इंटेलच्या तुलनेत फारच स्लो आहेत. यूएसबी 3.0 मुळे डेटा ट्रान्स्फरचा स्पीड दहापटीने वाढलेला आहे. म्हणजे एखादी वीस पंचवीस जीबीची फाइल काही सेकंदांतच ट्रान्स्फर होऊ शकते. आणि यूएसबीच्या आधारे डिव्हाइस चार्जिंग करायला वेळही खूप कमी लागतो. अल्ट्राबुकमध्ये "बॅक-लिट कीबोर्ड'ही वापरायला मिळतो.

शिवछत्रपतीचे चरित्र (बखरकार- कृष्णाजी अनंत सभासद)

शिवाजी महाराजांचे पुत्र छत्रपती राजाराम महाराज यांच्या आज्ञेवरून कृष्णाजी अनंत सभासद यांनी लिहिलेली ’शिवछत्रपतीचे चरित्र’ ही बखर. ह्या बखरीत केलेल्या उल्लेखानुसार हा ग्रंथ शालिवाहन शके १६१६ (इ०स० १६९४) या वर्षाच्या सुमारास (म्हणजे महाराजांच्या मृत्युनंतर केवळ १४ वर्षांनी) लिहिला गेला असे दिसते. याच्या सत्यासत्यतेबद्दल अर्थातच आम्ही काहीच सांगू शकत नाही. पण तरीही याचे वाचन सुरस ठरावे.

शेवटच्या ’राज्याची मोजदाद’ या प्रकरणात फारच माहितीपूर्ण व सुरस तपशील सापडतो. कारखाने, महाल, खजिना (सोने-नाणे, कापड-जिन्नस इ०), घोडे, पागा, त्यावेळचे सरदार, शिलेदार, सुभेदार, हत्ती, जहाजे, आरमार, सरदार, गड-कोट-जंजिरे (जुने ५०, शिवाजी राजांनी वसवलेले १११ व कर्नाटक प्रांतातील काबीज केलेले ७९ असे एकूण २४०).

मृणाल विद्याधर भिडे ह्यांनी मोठ्या परिश्रमपूर्वक टंकन करून मराठीप्रेमींसाठी उपलब्ध करून दिलेला हा ग्रंथ आपले मित्र श्री० मिलिंद पंडित (सदाशिव पेठ, पुणे) ह्यांनी आपल्याकरिता पाठवलेला आहे.

पुण्यातील मानाचे गणपती

श्री कसबा गणपती
कसबा हे पुण्याचे ग्रामदैवत. या गणपतीची मूर्ती स्वयंभू असून मूळची ती तांदळाएवढी होती. आता शेंदूर लेपल्यामुळे ती सुमारे साडेतीन फूट उंचीची झाली आहे, असे मानतात. शहाजी राजे यांनी १६३६ मध्ये लालमहाल बांधला. त्यावेळी जिजाबाईंनी या मूतीर्ची स्थापना करून दगडी गाभारा बांधला. त्यानंतर सभामंडपही बांधण्यात आले. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज लढाईला जाण्यापूर्वी या मूर्तीचे दर्शन घेऊन जात असत. गणेशोत्सवात श्रींची चांदीच्या पालखीतून मिरवणूक काढली जाते. या गणपतीपासून विसर्जन मिरवणुकीला प्रारंभ होतो.

श्री गणेशाची पंचोपचारपूजा

प्रत्यक्ष पूजाविधीत पूजेच्या प्रारंभी करावयाची प्रार्थना

‘हे श्री सिद्धिविनायका, तुझी पूजा माझ्याकडून भावपूर्ण होऊ दे. पूजा करत असतांना माझे मन सातत्याने तुझ्या चरणी लीन राहू दे. तू प्रत्यक्ष माझ्यासमोर आसनस्थ झाला आहेस आणि मी तुझी पूजा करत आहे, असा माझा भाव सतत असू दे. पूजेतील संभाव्य विघ्ने दूर होऊ देत. पूजेतील चैतन्य मला आणि सर्व उपस्थितांना मिळू दे.’

कोणत्याही देवतेची पूजा करतांना त्याचे आवाहन करणे, योग्य त्या उपचारांसह स्थापना आणि पूजा करणे आवश्यक असते. हे करतांना करावयाचे विधी, त्यांतील मंत्र आणि त्यांचा अर्थ माहीत असल्यास पूजकाकडून कृती अधिक भावपूर्ण होते. त्यामुळे देवतेचे तत्त्व मूर्तीत अधिक प्रमाणात आकर्षित होऊन पूजकास अधिक लाभ होतो. याच उद्देशाने गणेश चतुर्थीच्या वेळी करावयाची पंचोपचार पूजा येथे देत आहोत. शास्त्रानुसार या पद्धतीने दिवसातून तीन वेळा आणि ज्यांना तिन्ही वेळा पूजा करणे शक्य नसेल, त्यांनी सकाळी अन् सायंकाळी पूजा करावी.

There 32 effects at the time of writing, a lot of which are color modifications and simple effects, such as blur and emboss. Some of these effects are actually part of Adobe Photoshop, and while not as adjustable, they certainly are a great free option to turn towards.

In the right section (2) of the screenshot, you can undo and redo effects that you choose to apply to your photograph, similar to Photoshop’s History tool.

The beauty of ImageOid lies in the details. For example, it just takes a second to make changes and undo them — it’s really quite a speedy process. Additionally, it remembers the image you last loaded in the browsing session, and will do so until you change the image or reset ImageOid.

Now, I’m no professional photographer — in fact, I’m not even a hobbyist. While I love those cool lenses that allow you to blur large areas and create all these cool focusing effects, I’d prefer to spend my money elsewhere.
